The Destruction of the Wicked
The Location of Hell (The Lake of Fire) - The Ultimate Destination of the Wicked
2 Pet 3:7
7 But the present heavens and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
2 Pet 3:10-13
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.
11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!
13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
Isa 51:6
6 "Lift up your eyes to the sky, then look to the earth beneath; for the sky will vanish like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die in like manner, but My salvation shall be forever, and My righteousness shall not wane.
Matt 24:35
35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.
Rev 20:6-10
6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
7 And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison,
8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore.
9 And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The Location of "Heaven" - The Ultimate Destination of the Righteous (Through Christ’s Blood)

Isa 65:17-25

18 "But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem {for} rejoicing, and her people {for} gladness.
19 "I will also rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in My people; and there will no longer be heard in her the voice of weeping and the sound of crying.
20 "No longer will there be in it an infant {who lives but a few} days, or an old man who does not live out his days; for the youth will die at the age of one hundred and the one who does not reach the age of one hundred shall be {thought} accursed.
21 "And they shall build houses and inhabit {them;} they shall also plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 "They shall not build, and another inhabit, they shall not plant, and another eat; for as the lifetime of a tree, {so shall be} the days of My people, and My chosen ones shall wear out the work of their hands.
23 "They shall not labor in vain, or bear {children} for calamity; for they are the offspring of those blessed by the LORD, and their descendants with them.
24 "It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
25 "The wolf and the lamb shall graze together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain," says the LORD.
Isa 66:22
22 "For just as the new heavens and the new earth Which I make will endure before Me," declares the LORD, "So your offspring and your name will endure.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them,
4 and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be {any} death; there shall no longer be {any} mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."
5 And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."
Matt 5:5
5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Heaven and Hell - The destruction of the wicked and the eternal life of the Righteous - will both take place on this earth!

Ps 37:10-11
10 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; and you will look carefully for his place, and he will not be {there.}

Even Satan will eventually be totally destroyed in the lake of fire.
Ezek 28:12-19
12 "Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "You had the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 "You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the ruby, the topaz, and the diamond; the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper; the lapis lazuli, the turquoise, and the emerald; and the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, was in you. On the day that you were created they were prepared.
14 "You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I placed you {there.} You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 "You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.
16 "By the abundance of your trade you were internally filled with violence, and you sinned; therefore I have cast you as profane from the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings, that they may see you.
18 "By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade, you profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you; it has consumed you, and I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the eyes of all who see you.
19 "All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have become terrified, and you will be no more."'"

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one {of them} according to their deeds.
14 And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Two confusing phrases:
1. Fire that cannot be quenched
Jer 17:27
27 "But if you do not listen to Me to keep the sabbath day holy by not carrying a load and coming in through the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day, then I shall kindle a fire in its gates, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem and not be quenched."'"
2 Chr 36:19-21

21 to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its sabbaths. All the days of its desolation it kept sabbath until seventy years were complete.
God told Jeremiah that He would burn Jerusalem with a fire that could not be quenched. He did destroy Jerusalem by fire, but it was quenched and is not still burning to this day.
2. The terms, "forever" and "eternal" - What do they really mean?
Rev 20:10-15
10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The bible term "forever" must be taken from the perspective of the participant in the action. To someone who is to live forever, forever means for all time. For someone who is going to burn forever, forever means until the person burns up or dies - the consequences are eternal or forever. The Bible has applied the term, "forever", over 57 times to things that have already come to an end. Look at these three examples.
Exod 21:5-6
5 "But if the servant plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,'
6 "then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.
(NKJ)
Look at how it is put in the NIV.
Exod 21:5-6
5 "But if the servant declares, 'I love my master and my wife and children and do not want to go free,'
6 then his master must take him before the judges. He shall take him to the door or the doorpost and pierce his ear with an awl. Then he will be his servant for life.
(NIV)
1 Sam 1:22
22 But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, "{I will not go up} until the child is weaned; then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD and stay there forever."
1 Sam 1:28
28 "So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD." And he worshiped the LORD there.
Jonah 2:6
6 "I descended to the roots of the mountains. The earth with its bars {was} around me forever, but Thou hast brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.
Jonah 2:10
10 Then the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land. (After only 3 days - yet to Jonah it seemed like forever.)
