The Remnant

Rom 11:1-5

1     I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
2     God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in {the passage about} Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?
3     "Lord, they have killed Thy prophets, they have torn down Thine altars, and I alone am left, and they are seeking my life."
4     But what is the divine response to him? "I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal."
5     In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to {God's} gracious choice.

Rev 12:17
17     And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Matt 7:13-14
13     "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.
14     "For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.

Rev 12:17
17     And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Rev 19:10
10     And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, "Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Joel 2:28-32
28     "And it will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
29     "And even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
30     "And I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire, and columns of smoke.
31     "The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes.
32     "And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be delivered; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls.

God’s People

Exod 19:3-6
3     And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob and tell the sons of Israel:
4     'You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and {how} I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to Myself.
5     'Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine;
6     and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you

Gen 12:1-3
1     Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you;
2     And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing;
3     And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Rev 12:1-6
1     And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;
2     and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.
3     And another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads {were} seven diadems.
4     And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
5     And she gave birth to a son, a male {child} who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
6     And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she might be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

Rev 12:13-17
13     And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male {child.}
14     And the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, in order that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
15     And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.
16     And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth.
17     And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

The False Church - Babylon

Rev 17:1-6
1     And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I shall show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
2     with whom the kings of the earth committed {acts of} immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality."
3     And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.
4     And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality,
5     and upon her forehead a name {was} written, a mystery, "BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
6     And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered greatly.

The Call Out Of Babylon

John 10:14-16
14     "I am the good shepherd; and I know My own, and My own know Me,
15     even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
16     "And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they shall hear My voice; and they shall become one flock {with} one shepherd.

Rev 18:1-5
1     After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his glory.
2     And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! And she has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.
3     "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed {acts of} immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality."
4     And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, that you may not participate in her sins and that you may not receive of her plagues;
5     for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Just SDA’s Saved?

John 3:16
16     "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16-21
16     "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
17     "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.
18     "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19     "And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil.
20     "For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21     "But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."

Acts 17:30
30     "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all everywhere should repent,

John 4:22-24
22     "You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
23     "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
24     "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

John 15:22-27
22     "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23     "He who hates Me hates My Father also.
24     "If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.
25     "But {they have done this} in order that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their Law, 'They hated Me without a cause.'
26     "When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, {that is} the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me,
27     and you {will} bear witness also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

Baptism

Acts 2:37-41
37     Now when they heard {this} they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?"
38     And Peter {said} to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39     "For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself."
40     And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation!"
41     So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Matt 28:19-20
19     "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
20     teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Rom 6:3-4
3     Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4     Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

1 Cor 12:12-14
12     For even as the body is one and {yet} has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
13     For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
14     For the body is not one member, but many.

Doctrine Vs. Experience

John 4:23-24
23     "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
24     "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

John 8:31-36
31     Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, {then} you are truly disciples of Mine;
32     and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
33     They answered Him, "We are Abraham's offspring, and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, 'You shall become free'?"
34     Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.
35     "And the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever.
36     "If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

John 15:26-27
26     "When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, {that is} the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me,
27     and you {will} bear witness also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

John 17:17
17     "Sanctify them in the truth; Thy word is truth.

Rom 1:25-26
25     For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26     For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,

1 Sam 16:7
7     But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God {sees} not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Luke 16:15
15     And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.

1 Pet 3:3-4
3     And let not your adornment be {merely} external-- braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
4     but {let it be} the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

Rev 2:23
23     'And I will kill her children with pestilence; and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

Acts 15:7-9
7     And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
8     "And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;
9     and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

1 Sam 15:20-23
20     Then Saul said to Samuel, "I did obey the voice of the LORD, and went on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and have brought back Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
21     "But the people took {some} of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the choicest of the things devoted to destruction, to sacrifice to the LORD your God at Gilgal."
22     And Samuel said, "Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, {And} to heed than the fat of rams.
23     "For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He has also rejected you from {being} king."

James 1:22-25
22     But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
23     For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;
24     for {once} he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.
25     But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the {law} of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does.

Rom 2:13-16
13     for not the hearers of the Law are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.
14     For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves,
15     in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,
16     on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.
